MEET THE PHYSIO
As principal physiotherapist of GB Physiotherapy, Glen has been providing treatment for neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions for over 30 years. After graduating from Curtin University of Technology in 1991, he enjoyed a year at Fremantle Hospital before working as an outpatient physiotherapist in the UK and the USA. He returned with his wife to Perth in 1999, and, while raising two beautiful little girls, completed his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University. He continued to broaden his physiotherapy experiences as clinic director for 9 years in Boise, Idaho (USA), before bringing his family back to Perth to begin GB Physiotherapy.

Glen's love of golf has inspired him to investigate the biomechanical principles of the golf swing, to better understand how limitations in flexibility, strength or muscle control can influence the performance and injury risk of golfers. By understanding the published evidence on correlations between physical characteristics and the golf swing, Glen is able to provide expert advice on how to best prepare for the best results on the course.
The consistent history of work-related pain that has presented itself over the years in so many patients has also educated Glen about the importance of managing the stresses of the workplace. Static postures, sitting or standing, produce very consistent stresses on the spine and peripheral joints that need to be managed in order to avoid injury and pain. Ergonomic workplace assessments have become an important tool in assisting Glen's main service provision - educating injury prevention and injury recovery and management.
